N is for... (Christmas Day 14)
NATIVITY
As Christians, the whole reason we celebrate Christmas is because of Jesus. Although his actual birth was probably not in December (because of the flocks being in the fields), it's the time that we celebrate it.
I think it's really sad that this holiday has become a greedy one. All about getting the things that we want, and shops taking advantage of this season to get sales.
There's this feeling that comes with Christmas, and I'll tell you what it is. Love. It's the one of the only times in the year when most of the nation celebrates true love, and if only we could keep that all year, we'd have a much more peaceful world.
Christmas is about joy and love and peace and redemption. It's the time when God sent his only son as a baby, to save the world from their sins. Surely that's the greatest gift of all?
