Energi!!

2 weeks ago was Energi Camp!! It was probably one of the best years yet. We did a few things that we haven't done the past few years which was nice. The weather wasn't the greatest but it was warm, and didn't rain! :D
The order of the day was

Morning:

  • Wake Up and tidy rooms for Room Inspection
  • Go down to breakfast (Toast and cereal), when we've all eaten the leaders read out the scores for room inspection.
  • Go to morning devotionals (seniors and juniors have separate meetings)
All of the above is the same each day, but after morning devotionals each day we do something different.

Tuesday:

  • We did a dance workshop, to the song 'Happy'
  • Went into the sports hall to play a game with balloons, string and masking tape where you had to build a table and chair that would hold a person(the chair) and a glass(the table)
  • Go across to lunch (sandwiches, salad, coleslaw etc.)
  • After lunch, we walk across to the Tuck Shop to get sweets:)
  • We had a bit of a break, then went into the field to do some sports, or came to the swings. (Some of us were playing a game on a fallen tree, log thing!!)
  • We then had another break, then dinner.
  • We walked across to the courtyard for 'Phone Time'
  • After dinner we go across to the evening meeting, which was really good today!! Probably my favorite evening! :D
  • When we were going to bed 2 of the older senior girls came in to our room and we talked til half past midnight!!
Wednesday:

  • We got split into 2 groups, one group went to do the low ropes course whilst the others paint mugs (I was in the first group, we didn't get to finish the course:()
  • Went in to have lunch
  • After lunch, we resplit and swapped groups.
  • I think after that that we went to Tuck Shop
  • We weren't expecting this, but we went into the meeting room to watch Frozen after Tuck! All the leaders fell asleep during it!
  • I think we had a little break there, but we might have just gone straight into dinner.
  • 'Phone Time' again after dinner, then evening meeting.
  • When the meeting finished and all the little ones had gone to bed, the leaders had planned for us seniors to do a little song/sketch thing. It was actually really fun and I wish I had a video of it! We finished doing that about half 11 but I don't think we actually fell asleep til like quarter to 1!!
Thursday:

  • The leaders had a surprise for us all this year, because normally if we don't do the Slip'n'Slide we do sports in the sports hall. Colin (the main leader) told us we weren't doing the Slip'n'Slide, and that he wanted us to walk up to the sports hall. When we got there we saw that they'd got some bouncy castle things! (Technically they only had one bouncy castle, but they also had a Gladiator fight thing, and an assault course.) The seniors started on the Gladiator fight thing, which was so fun :)
  • We had a BBQ , then Juniors and Seniors swapped, so the seniors went on the bouncy castle and assault course.
  • When we'd all burnt off some energy, we went down to the Tuck shop.
  • Then we had a few minutes break before going into the meeting room for 'Energi's Got Talent', which was great this year!!
  • After a few minutes break after, we went back to the meeting room for evening meeting
  • Late at night after the meeting, we all walked down to the bonfire, to eat toasted marshmallows and sing campfire songs.
  • We got back to our rooms at about 12. We were all so tired, but packed a little anyway.
Friday:

  • Today we started packing before breakfast, because after breakfast we weren't allowed to go back upstairs.
  • After breakfast we went down to the sports hall and spent most the morning/afternoon there. We practiced or song/sketch in there, whilst the younger ones had their meeting. After a while once they'd come in, we showed them and they loved it!
  • We then had lunch and got our phones and purses back. We had to say good-bye to the Rugby lot, which was sad cos they're awesome.
  • When they'd gone we went to the Tuck Shop and got some sweets for the journey.
  • We spent a little while just chatting before we had to bid farewell! It was a sad parting and I hope I get to go again!
If you wanna see some of it in action you can watch this video right here!! This was taken by one of the leaders, the one who went to the Philippines. She talked about her trip on Sunday and it sounded so amazing!!
I think I should be going now thank you for reading, Good-bye!! Xox
