My wonderful holiday!!

Hi!!!!!Good to be writing again!I had the best half term EVER!!!You see I went to Portsmouth with my cousin to stay with my Nana & Grandad, and we went to a load of places!!On the first (or it might have been second I can't remember) Sunday of half term I went down to Birmingham and then went to Nana's.We got there about ten ish so me and Iz were knackered.On the first day Grandad had a day off so we went out to Uppark House.First of all we went to get a quiz to do along the way,we soon realized that all the questions were outside so we did that first.We then went inside and the first room we went to was the hall we then walked into the dining area,after we looked in there we went to the parlour room soon after we walked into the drawing room which was quite interesting because it had once been an entrance hall but Sir Matthew lowered the cieling 10ft and put two bedrooms above,he then put bookcases and couches in there.The most interesting room to me was the one that had a giant dolls house in it, it was so gorgeous.There was also a room about the house catching on fire.Basically there were men working on the roof and they were using fire tools but didn't realise that it had caught the house.All the people inside carried precious paintings and furniture out.The only piece of furniture that survived was the four poster bed in one of the bed room! OK then on Tuesday we we to Seaview Wildlife Encounter.It was in the Isle of Wight so we had to take a ferry there.(it was a car ferry) When we got there we picked up a quiz for me and Izzy to do.We then moved on to see the Humbolt penguins.There was one that had a spinal problem and he had a hump,they called him Humphrey the humpback Humbolt penguin!We got to feed them some sprats which I learnt was there favourite food.Soon after we went to wash our hands,just behind the tap was an enclosor of Caribbean flamingoes!!!!!! I love FLAMINGOES.I took lodes of pictures of them because as I say... I love FLAMINGOES!!!We then walked round to a little set of cages were we found a parrot called Sam that could sing the national anthem but unfortunately he wouldn't sing it for us:( We then walked over to the Pelican bay were we found pelicans(I Know that was silly to say) we didn't stay there for long because we found they were doing a feeding time at the Big Flight Aviary which was just across the path so we didn't have to walk that far.We got feeds the parrots in there but for some reason there was only one bird that wanted feeding!We then walked down to the sheltered picnic area and on the way we passed the incubation room which had newly hatched chicks in it.We also passed the Chilean flamingoes which weren't very interesting.After lunch we went round the lake were we saw LODES of ducks!!We then found our selves in the pet corner which held rabbits and pigs in it.We then walked to the meerkats enclosore stayed there for a while and then moved on to the Wallabies,we got to stroke and feed them which was Izzy's favourite thing!After stroking and feeding the Wallabies we went back to the Meerkats because they were getting fed which was quite cute.We then walked to the Asian Short Clawed Otters which were also getting fed so we stayed for that.When that finished we walked to the gift shop to get an ice-cream.I also bought a notebook from the shop.When we finished our ice-creams(which were the best ever) we sadly had to go home on the ferry:( But we both agreed it was the best trip!
